On 22 September the White House readout of the UN speech said artificial intelligence would be “hereinafter officially called Super Intelligence.” This desk keeps the reports, the Federal Register, and the argument over whether those are the same words.

Political language may now say SI. Labs, courts, and the Federal Register mostly still say AI. One word — superintelligence — is a claim about a mind past human level. Two words — super intelligence — are the rename. They are not interchangeable, and nothing on this desk is a new statute.
